EMDRIA Approved EMDR Training

Upcoming EMDR Training: EMDR with Dementia and Caregivers

I am pleased to be presenting EMDR with Dementia and Caregivers: Clinical Adaptations, Case Conceptualization, and Ethical Practice, a live virtual training offered through ConnectEMDR on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET.

As our population ages, EMDR clinicians are increasingly likely to encounter clients living with dementia, as well as caregivers navigating trauma, anticipatory grief, loss, and the emotional demands of caregiving. This training explores how we can thoughtfully adapt our existing EMDR skills while remaining grounded in the AIP model and standard eight-phase protocol.

We will explore dementia and memory, case conceptualization and target selection, clinical adaptations, caregiver work, and ethical considerations when working with neurocognitive decline.

This is an advanced/specialty training for clinicians who have completed an EMDRIA-approved EMDR Basic Training. The program offers 3.5 CEs and 3.5 EMDRIA Credits (Program #17019-126).
