LGBT Community

Come and Be Who You Are

Living in the Buckle of the Bible Belt can be a bit daunting.

And that’s true if you’re new to Music City or even if you’ve grown up here.

As someone in the LGBT community, perhaps you’ve experienced its buckle and its Bible, and it hasn’t been kind.

It can be hurtful and disillusioning. And it can make the process of coming out so much more frightening, confusing, and traumatizing.

Rejection Hurts

Maybe you’ve come out to your family or friend and they reacted by cutting off all communication with you.

Have you came out to a roommate only to have the roommate move out?

Perhaps you’ve faced occupational issues related to the risks of coming out at work.

Or the religious communities that were once a meaningful source of support no longer want anything to do with you.

You’re Not Alone

Many of my clients struggle with family difficulties, communication issues, anxiety, depression, and a lack of coping skills that can lead to high levels of stress.

My goal is to provide the LGBT community seeking counseling services a safe place to come when in need.

Healing happens.

I can help you process gay and lesbian concerns, non-traditional relationships and relationship issues.

A Place to Heal and Find Comfort

When you arrive at my office I make every effort to help you feel comfortable and welcome.

My office space is warm, comfortable, and intended to feel as if you’re in my own living room so as to provide you with the best opportunity to heal and re-center yourself.

It’s my hope that you’ll feel as if you’ve finally found a judgment-free space where you can begin to explore who you are and what you want out of life.

All are Welcome

Looking for a counselor in the LGBT community?

I understand that it can be scary in today’s societal climate. You may be asking yourself…

“Will they get me?”

“Will they understand me?”

“Are they LGBT friendly and safe for me?”

I maintain a non-coercive and non-judgmental environment. This allows my diverse clients with a safe place to heal in a trusting and supportive emotional setting so that they have the best opportunity to heal and re-center.

Give me call (615) 852-5055, or send me an email to discuss if we may be a good fit.
